Our destination is....Penang!
the lil island of yummy foods & coffee.
Air Itam is one of the famous check point for tourists.
Mainly due to the Penang Hill & Kek Lok Si.
However, Food lovers coming for the Laksa & Thai-Curry Mee.

Ah ma busy taking order while preparing the curry mee.
According to Taiwan Food Show, this is the younger sister (estimated age: 81).
The elder sister =)
Estimated age is 83 years old.
According to another interview from Facebook...
The young boy at the back is the future Pharmacist who usually spend time to help the sister to sell curry mee during weekend and holidays.
Can you spot the Fried Bihun?
Based on the Local Blogger Interview, they start to selling Fried Bihun with Curry Soup as per customer and local residents' request.
Bean Curd (Toufu Pok) & Cuttle Fish (Ju-Hu) as the toppings.

For me, the Chili/Sambal is the soul of their curry mee!!!

Busy serving take away order...
In last year, i visited Air Itam twice just for the Sister Thai Curry Mee.
At first, what really attract me to pay a visit is their story instead of the food.
It is hard to believe they remain selling the curry mee for about 60years.
They went through hard time and wars.
The family escape from Thailand and start their living in Malaysia.
It is truly amazing that how they keep the positive mindset and simple till today while the world is transforming to a brand new era with all the digital stuffs.
They still using the charcoal to boil the soup, all the equipment are old antiques...
Looking at them, made me realize a lot about life.
They are always thankful that they are still able to earn the money for living.
They rarely or maybe never complain about life but appreciate that there are people who like to eat their curry mee.
KEEP IT SIMPLE.

Strongly recommend their Kopi O'beng..
According to sis, the Kopi beng is good too!
But the local usually order it as O'beng...

它让我想起从前和婆婆之间的回忆
黑灰白的发色、小手上的皱纹、碎花布的套装...
她们的坚持、她们的认真、她们的态度、她们的故事
真的打动了我的心
真的让我停下来，重新考量自己在人生中要得是什么。
只要还有明天，就会有机会。
会跌倒，会失败，但是只要坚持，还是会有黎明。
